Heterogeneous Photocatalysis: applications
Research group with an extensive experience in the field of Heterogeneous Photocatalysis, conducting investigations with other national and international research groups. The experience of the group members covers all aspects of the Synthesis and Characterization of Materials, and topics related to Solid and Surface Chemistry, Catalysis and obviously Heterogeneous Photocatalysis.
Current interest of the synthesized materials is directed to their applications as photocatalysts, under direct solar lighting conditions, for treatment of natural waters contaminated by textile dyes and emerging contaminants (pharmaceutical antibiotics or drugs) or waters infected by pathogenic microorganisms.
